Dallas Eats... in Bishop Arts

Welcome to our favorite eats of Dallas! We come to the Bishop Arts area often (usually to meet our good friends, Christopher and Jennifer - hi!). Christopher used to work at a book binding shop in the area, so he gives us the tour.

We love having dinner/beers at Eno's Pizza Tavern . It's such a laid-back place with deliciously thin pizzas. Our current favorite is the Spinach & Black Garlic. Try to snag a spot at a table upstairs! The windows up there are killer. They also have live music after 9:00 on the weekends, but we like to beat the crowd and get there at 6:30.

When we're feeling really fancy, we'll visit Tillman's Roadhouse. Coming down for brunch? Definitely visit Oddfellows. Sophisticated drinks? Boulevardier. We've also heard Gloria's and Bolsa are awesome eats too.

After dinner, we like to walk around the shops a bit. {neighborhood} is a fun home furnishings store, and a great place to pick up a little gift or card.  SOCIETY (in the photos above) is a gorgeous candle store. They keep their candle samples under cloche glasses - you're supposed to lift up the cloche and sniff inside of that to see how a candle would actually smell in your room as opposed to the concentrated, harsher scent of smelling the candle directly.

After walking off a bit of our pizza, sometimes we will stop for a slice of pie at Emporium Pies (how gorgeous is their website?!). Seriously yummy, and huge slices. Share a slice over two cups of coffee. I suggest the Lord of the Pies - deep dish apple pie with cinnamon streusel. Hungry yet?

If you haven't been down to Bishop Arts, get down there! It's a really wonderful atmosphere, quiet and cozy. And if you're Bishop Arts residents, comment and let me know your insider favorites :) We're always looking for more reasons to visit!
