Do you remember the Blogging Basics series from last year? It was so much fun to share with you guys the tips and tricks I've picked up along the way. It helped me overcome some fears and, let's face it, it's so easy to compare ourselves to each other. When we're transparent about what we do, it not only helps erase that desire, but is incredibly encouraging as well (for you and for me)! So I'm starting it back up again, and covering a wider variety of topics (I'm even considering interviewing some of my favorite designer friends...!).
To kick things (back) off, I wanted to chat about a subject that's been particularly tough for myself and my fellow designers... the price of design. I've interviewed several friends on the subject, and had them proof-read the post and add their insight. When doing what you love is what pays the bills, things can sometimes get a little messy. I'm super excited to share this, and to hear your thoughts... Come back in a bit for the full post!
PS... so far, we've talked about branding yourself, creating community, favicons, your sidebar, how to make a GIF (so fun!), how to take pretty Instagrams, investing in yourself (this one can be scary), and how to keep learning. And if you're curious, you can read the reason why I took a blogging break (it wasn't a good one). Thankful to be back!
